Marina is a bathing beach on Mallorca in the Balearic Islands with a length of 400 metres and a width of 30 metres. The beach has a gentle slope and natural origin. It is a free-access bathing area used recreationally primarily by local residents on a daily basis with low visitor numbers.

Water

Free-access bathing water in the Bahía de Pollença water body. The bathing zone measures 400 metres in length and 30 metres in width with a gentle slope. No currents, whirlpools, or rip currents are present.

Location

Located in Alcudia municipality, Mallorca, Balearic Islands. Pedestrian access is good. Vehicle access is regular with regular-standard parking available.

Facilities

Pedestrian access available in good condition. No disabled access. No promenade. No lifeguard information provided.

Water Quality

Annual water quality classification was Excellent in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Short-duration contamination episodes (<72 hours) occurred once in 2020. Exceptional contamination episodes (>72 hours) were not recorded. Water quality state was Very Good in 2007–09, Acceptable in 2018–19, and Moderate in 2022–23. Identified pollution sources include septic tanks, boats, and a private wastewater treatment plant.

Risks

Phytoplankton blooms are frequent. Jellyfish are occasional. No cyanobacteria outbreaks have been recorded. Floating waste accumulation is very low.
