Playa Navia is a 330-meter-long transitional water bathing beach located at the mouth of the Navia River estuary in northwestern Spain. The beach features dark fine sand with a width of 55 meters and is subject to macrotidal conditions with a tidal range exceeding 4 meters. Water renewal occurs in less than 7 days, and the beach experiences strong wave action with high occupancy. The water quality has been classified as sufficient for bathing since 2012, though it is influenced by treated wastewater and industrial discharges from the municipalities of Navia and Coaña.
