Water Quality

Microbiological classification shows excellent water quality. E. coli and enterococcus concentrations remain within acceptable ranges as measured during 2008–2010. The water mass is classified as being in poor overall state.

Risks

No significant contamination risk from occasional discharges associated with precipitation events. No localized discharge risks identified. No historical contamination records for the bathing zone or the adjacent shellfish production zone (GAL 11/02 Enseada de Moaña, Zone B).
