The beach is located in Vilaxoán, Vilagarcía de Arousa municipality, Pontevedra province, Galicia, Spain. UTM coordinates: 517237 (X), 4715054 (Y), European Datum 1950, UTM 29N.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: excellent. E. coli and enterococcus concentrations showed low levels during monitoring between 2008 and 2010. No historical contamination incidents recorded. Adjacent shellfish production zone GAL 09/06 (Ens. Rianxo e Vilagar) classified as zone B with no contamination history.

Risks

Risk of short-duration contamination from occasional discharges associated with precipitation episodes: not significant. No localized discharge risks identified.
