Monitoring and bathing season from June to September.

Water Quality

Water mass ES01414 Costa da Morte has a good overall ecological and chemical status. The bathing zone was reclassified as excellent in 2017. No significant contamination history. The adjacent shellfish production zone GAL 06/03 Ría de Corme-Laxe is classified as category B.

Risks

No significant risk of short-duration contamination identified. No evidence of risks from phytoplankton or cyanobacteria. No significant presence of jellyfish detected during 2014-2017 monitoring.
