Playa S'Estany d'En Mas, also known as Cala Romàntica, is a natural bathing beach located in Mallorca, Balearic Islands. The beach is 100 metres long and 160 metres wide with a gentle slope and fine sand substrate. It is a free-access recreational bathing area with high daily visitor numbers, primarily from outside the local area. Currents are present in the water.

No exceptional-duration pollution episodes (>72 hours) were recorded in 2019–2022. Floating waste accumulation in the area is classified as low. No point source discharges are present. Pluvial sources are identified as other sources of contamination.

Risks

Currents are present. Jellyfish occurrences are occasional. No history of phytoplankton proliferation.
