Water Quality

The bathing zone has a historical classification of insufficient quality for at least one year. The adjacent shellfish production zone (GAL 07/04 Ría de Corcubión) is classified as Class C with antecedents of contamination. Microbiological monitoring shows E. coli and Enterococcus concentrations tracked from 2008 to 2010.

Risks

Short-duration contamination risk associated with rainfall events, with a yellow alert level for precipitation intensity. No localized discharge risk has been identified.
