Water Quality

Water quality classification shows Excellent, Good, Sufficient, and Insufficient categories tracked from 2008 to 2010. E. coli concentrations ranged up to approximately 1500 ufc/100 ml. Enterococcus concentrations ranged up to approximately 1000 ufc/100 ml. Adjacent shellfish production zone GAL 11/04 Ría de Vigo (MED) classified as Zone B with no historical contamination.

Risks

No significant risk from occasional discharges associated with precipitation events. No significant risk from localized discharges.
