Playa Ézaro is a maritime bathing zone located in O Ézaro, Dumbría, in the province of Coruña, Galicia. The beach is 694 metres long and 28 metres wide, composed of rock and sand. It experiences moderate wave conditions and is often windy, with low visitor numbers and an urban setting.

Water

Maritime water body located in the Galicia Costa hydrological demarcation, within the Ría de Corcubión watershed, classified as the Muros water mass. The water mass is in good ecological state.

O Ézaro, Dumbría municipality, province of Coruña, Galicia, Spain. Coordinates: UTM 489492, 4750994 (European Datum 1950, UTM 29N).

Water Quality

The bathing zone is classified as Excellent for water quality. E. coli and Enterococcus concentrations showed declining trends from 2008 to 2010. No historical contamination antecedents are recorded for this zone. The adjacent shellfish production zone (GAL 07/01 FISTERRA-CARNOTA) has no recorded contamination history.

Risks

No short-duration contamination risks have been identified from occasional discharges associated with precipitation events or from localized discharges.
