Cagliari, Sardegna, Italy. The competent authority is the Direzione generale agenzia regionale del distretto idrografico della sardegna, located at Viale Trieste n. 159/3 (3° piano), 09123 Cagliari.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is excellent. The bathing water is subject to monitoring for pollution impacts. Identified pollution pressures include industrial discharges (IPPC and non-IPPC), port activities, diffuse industrial pressures, and coastal infrastructure impacts.

Risks

Industrial discharges (both IPPC and non-IPPC) represent very important and important pressures. Port activities and coastal infrastructure impacts (including shipyards) are identified as important pressure sources. Short-duration pollution events and their sources are under study with an appropriate modeling approach.
