Pontile Pineta is a sandy beach bathing area located in the strongly urbanized coastal and lagoon area of Lignano, in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. The beach is situated on a peninsula with nearby urban settlements and maritime infrastructure. The bathing water has been classified as excellent based on monitoring data from 2015–2018.

Location

Lignano, in the province of Udine, Friuli Venezia Giulia region, Italy. Coordinates: 45.667755°N, 13.117917°E. The bathing area extends approximately 1.682 km.

Sanitary facilities, disabled access services, bar/restaurant, first aid facility.

Water Quality

Classification: Excellent (reference years 2015–2018). Escherichia coli at 90th percentile: 18 CFU/100 ml; at 95th percentile: 20 CFU/100 ml. Intestinal enterococci at 90th percentile: 18 CFU/100 ml; at 95th percentile: 27 CFU/100 ml. No quality status variations were observed during the 2015–2018 bathing seasons. No sustained eutrophic phenomena caused by cyanobacteria have been reported. No cases of potentially toxic algal strain proliferation have been detected.
