Port Ban is located on Iona, reached via a mostly flat road suitable for cycling. The beach has white sand and a gradual, shallow entry into the sea, with parking available nearby but no facilities on site. Sheep and cattle graze freely in the surrounding area, and dogs are required to be kept on leads.
