Port Kérel is a bathing beach located in the commune of Bangor in the Morbihan department of France. The beach is situated on Belle-Île-en-Mer and is subject to tidal influences with significant seasonal variations in water quality. The bathing zone has been monitored since 2010 under the European Bathing Water Directive 2006/7/CE. Risks

Potential pollution sources identified include: discharges from the collective sewerage outlet, failures in pumping stations, non-conforming autonomous sanitation installations, agricultural runoff, wild moorings, presence of animals on the beach, and bather-related contamination. Phytoplankton and macroalgae proliferation potential has been evaluated.
