Porth Nanven lies near St Just, at the seaward end of the Cot Valley on the Penwith peninsula. The beach is rocky, covered in rounded boulders and stones, with sea water and paths leading up to cliffs on either side; remains of old tin mining works are visible nearby. Access is via a narrow single-track road to a small car park with a donation box; there are no shops, cafés, or other amenities on site.
