Porticciolo is a bathing water area located in the coastal region of Calabria near the town of Pizzo. The beach features a sandy-pebbly composition with an articulated coastline. The seabed has a gradual slope of 2.4% from the water's edge to the 5-metre depth line. The water body extends over an area of 0.622 square kilometres. The bathing area is situated in front of the inhabited centre of Pizzo.

Short-duration pollution events from rainwater runoff in urban areas have been identified. Cyanobacterial proliferation has not occurred in the past 4 years. Macroalgae and phytoplankton proliferation has not been verified.
