Pottskär is located near Kvicksund, on the shore of Lake Mälaren facing Galten, with the Köping fairway passing offshore. The beach features a jetty, a barbecue area, benches, and a toilet, with rocky terrain along parts of the lake bottom and surrounding cliffs and reeds. A gravel parking area is available nearby for those arriving by car.
