Praia da Baleeira is a pebble and rock beach reached by a steep downhill path of around 1km, with sneakers or hiking shoes recommended for the descent over loose terrain. The beach has no facilities, so visitors carry their own food and water, and access is also possible by boat, which many tourist vessels use throughout the day. Rock diving and swimming in deep water are common activities, and part of the beach falls into shade by midday.
