Praia do Canavial sits along the cliffs near Lagos, a few kilometers from the town centre, reachable by a short walk or drive with nearby parking. Access is via a path and steps down the cliff face, which can be steep in sections. The beach borders the Atlantic and has no on-site facilities; naturist use is common toward one end, with clothed bathers on the other side.
