Puntižela - Monte Christo Beach is a partially cultivated beach located in Pula, Croatia, with a pebbled surface and rocky areas. The beach extends 270 metres in length and 30 metres in width along an indented coastline with a mild coastal slope. The beach is tree-lined and experiences high bather density during the season.

Water

Adriatic Sea coast. Average sea temperature during season is 23.49°C. Salinity ranges from 36.4 to 39.2. Tide amplitude is 47 centimetres. Underwater coastal slope is moderate (15 to 25 degrees). Prevailing wind is from the north-east.

Location

Pula, Puntižela area. Beach is accessed via pedestrian path. Free parking is available. The concessionaire is Grad Pula.

Facilities

Sea buoys, lifeguard/rescuer service, sanitary facility, shower, changing room, café bar, trashcan. Floating safety lines protect the beach front. Water sports and land sports are available.

Season

Monitoring conducted year-round with 10 annual samples from 2009 to 2025.

Water Quality

Bathing water quality has been monitored annually with 10 samples per year from 2009 to 2025 under both Croatian regulation and EU Directive 2006/7/EZ. Final assessment periods cover 40 samples each (four-year rolling assessments). Quality classifications recorded include excellent, good, sufficient, and poor ratings.
