Rebolim is a bathing water located on the Mondego River downstream from the confluence of the Ceira River, between Ponte Rainha Santa Isabel and Ponte da Portela. The beach is situated on a wide sandy area on the right bank of the Mondego River. Due to its proximity to the urban area of Coimbra, it experiences strong demand from bathers. The water body is part of the Açude Ponte de Coimbra reservoir and is influenced by the variability of flows from upstream dam systems.

Water Quality

Classification for 2024 in accordance with Decreto-Lei 135/09 amended by Decreto-Lei 113/2012. No short-term pollution events occurred during the 2024 bathing season. Potential microbiological pollution sources include diffuse sources from agricultural or forestry activities upstream, solid waste from beach activities, a high number of users, and variability of affluent flow.

Risks
