Ribarica is a cultivated beach located in Karlobag on the Croatian coast. The beach features a predominantly pebbled surface with concrete structures and is situated on an indented coastline with moderate underwater slopes. The beach experiences high bather density during the season and is designated as a small town beach within a protected area.

Adriatic Sea. Average sea temperature during the season is 22.26°C. Salinity ranges from 27.8 to 41.5 during the season. Tide amplitude is 33.8 cm. The coastal slope is moderate, ranging from 15 to 25 degrees, as is the underwater coastal slope.

Location

Karlobag. The beach is accessible by asphalt road. No parking is available at the site.

Facilities

Boat docking is available directly on the beach.

Season

Monitoring occurs annually with sampling conducted throughout each year.

Water Quality

Water quality is monitored under both Croatian national regulations and EU Directive 2006/7/EC. Monitoring has been conducted annually with 10 samples per year since 2009. Multi-year assessments (40 samples per 4-year period) have been completed through 2025. Quality classifications include excellent, good, sufficient, and poor ratings.
