Rocky Bay is located in Cork, with a small stream flowing into the sea and a sandy shoreline that reveals rock pools and caves at low tide. A car park with space for approximately six vehicles serves the beach, accessed via narrow roads, and a coffee dock is present on-site though not always open. Sand levels have been observed to shift seasonally, exposing the rocky shelf beneath in places.
