Roither See is a former gravel pit lake located near Neuallkofen in Regensburg district. The lake features meadows for sunbathing along the forest. The total area is 21 hectares with 14 hectares of water and 7 hectares of land. The shoreline extends for 1,800 meters.

Location

Located near Neuallkofen in Regensburg district. Access via B 8 from Regensburg, turning right at Roith and continuing toward Neuallkofen. Approximately 450 parking spaces available. Parking fees apply from 09:30 to 17:30 for cars at 3.50 euros and motorcycles at 2.50 euros.

Facilities

One restaurant (north), one kiosk (south), changing cabins, three toilets, one mobile toilet. Beach volleyball and rowing available. Lifeguards present on weekends and public holidays during swimming season.

Season

Early May to mid-September. Operating hours 06:00 to 22:00. Dogs prohibited on meadows and in water during swimming season. Camping prohibited.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: 3 stars (excellent) for 2025, 2024, and 2023. Monitoring results from 2025 show all samples bacteriologically unobjectionable with Enterococcus and Escherichia coli levels below or at guideline values. Swimming permitted without restrictions.
