Salgado is a long sandy beach located at the bottom of a cliff in Nazaré. The beach features an extensive sandy area with calm waters in the bay area, situated at the foot of the Serra de Mangues. The bathing water is characterized by excellent quality.

Water Quality

Water quality classification from 2020 shows no history of short-term pollution events. No significant microbiological pollution sources are present in the area of influence. There were zero days in which bathing was advised against or prohibited due to short-term pollution events in the 2020 bathing season.

Risks

Cyanobacteria, macroalgae, and phytoplankton proliferation are all considered unlikely. No significant pollution sources are identified.
