Seabrook is a resort beach in the western outskirts of Folkestone, Kent. It is situated at the northern edge of Hythe Bay, which stretches from Folkestone down to the headland of Dungeness. The beach at Sandgate is predominantly shingle with wide shallow sand flats exposed at low water. There is an outfall pipe 50 metres east of the sampling point, which is exposed at low water. Further east there is a breakwater. The beach is backed by a promenade, followed by a green belt between the beach and the Royal Military Canal.
