Schwarzl Freizeitzentrum is a recreational bathing water located in a 45-hectare lake south of Graz, formed from former gravel extraction sites. The lake is situated between the A9 motorway to the west and Graz airport to the east, with nearby camping facilities and an event hall.

Water

Lake formed from gravel extraction, approximately 45 hectares in area. The original three separate water surfaces were connected into one body of water. Mean water depth approximately 3.5 metres; maximum depth approximately 9 metres.

Location

South of Graz, between the A9 motorway (west) and Graz airport (east). A camping area and leisure centre with event hall are in immediate proximity to the bathing water.

Facilities

Showers and toilets available. Dogs and other pets are prohibited at the bathing water. Maximum daily capacity of approximately 3000 swimmers during peak season.
