The See im Maschener Moor is located 25 km south of Hamburg and is one of the largest lakes in the Harburg district, with an area of 100,000 m². It is an artificially created gravel pit lake fed by a spring beneath its surface. The lake features sandy and grassy shores and is situated in an idyllic woodland area.
