Shipstal Beach sits on Poole Harbour within the Arne RSPB reserve, reached via woodland and heathland footpaths from the reserve car park. The shoreline consists of shells, stones and mud flats, with views across the harbour to the islands. Facilities at the reserve include a café and toilets, and the surrounding trails support birdwatching and sightings of Sika deer.
