Rab gradsko kupalište is a cultivated town beach located in Rab, Croatia. The beach features a concrete structure as its primary surface with pebbled areas, backed by low and high vegetation. It stretches approximately 1,010 metres along a strait coastline without slope. The beach experiences high bather density during the season and maintains an average sea temperature of 23.22°C.

Location

Rab, Croatia. Coordinates: 44.7607°N, 14.7528°E (primary sampling point), with additional sampling points at 44.7578°N, 14.7565°E; 44.7558°N, 14.7592°E; and 44.7533°N, 14.7619°E. Parking is available with a charge. Access via coastline path.

Facilities

Café bar, fast food, sanitary facilities, showers, changing rooms, disabled access, playground, water sports, benches, parking area, auxiliary facilities, and trash cans. Floating safety lines protect the beach front. Boat docking available nearby but outside the beach.

Monitoring conducted year-round from 2009 to 2025, with annual assessments and rolling four-year assessment periods.

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored annually and assessed over four-year periods under both Croatian regulation and EU Directive 2006/7/EZ from 2009 to 2025. Annual assessments involved 9–10 samples per year; four-year assessment periods involved 39–40 samples total. Quality classifications include excellent, good, sufficient, and poor ratings.
