Water quality monitoring programme for popular bathing locations in the Aare river, Emme river, and Burgäschisee in Canton Solothurn. Eight designated bathing sites are regularly monitored for microbiological water quality during the bathing season from May to August. Water quality is classified into four categories based on test results, ranging from safe for bathing without restrictions to health warnings against bathing.
