Contrada Zuccara is a wide sandy beach in the municipality of Avola, Sicily, with easy access and a rocky section delimiting it to the north. The beach is intensively frequented during the summer season. Residential settlements are present in the surrounding area. The bathing water has been classified as Excellent as of 2017. No bathing prohibitions are in effect.

Coastal marine waters. The area extends 0.3 kilometres along the coast between the Asinaro River and the Cassibile River. The coastline is predominantly sandy.

The beach is free access coastal area with no mention of lifeguards, toilets, showers, or disabled access facilities.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017). No bathing bans are in effect. No short-duration pollution events were recorded. No anomalous events were registered. Wastewater treatment: the area is served by a sewage network conveying wastewater to the municipal treatment plant.
