Spiaggia Libera is a sandy beach located in Ginosa, Puglia, in a marine-coastal water body. The bathing area is part of the Foce Lato-Bradano water body and extends over 0.808 square kilometers. The beach has been classified as excellent quality for the period 2017–2020. No discharge of treatment plant effluent or watercourse inflows that could convey pollutants to the bathing area have been identified.

Water Quality

Classification: Excellent (2017–2020). No discharges of urban wastewater treatment plants flow into the sea. No watercourses or canals are present that could convey pollutant sources to the bathing area. No short-duration pollution events were recorded in the last four years.

Risks

No cyanobacterial or algal blooms have been identified. No cases of potentially toxic algal strains have been detected in the last four years. No anomalous situations have occurred.
