Petrella Salto municipality in Rieti Province, Lazio region. Lake Salto is at an altitude of 535 metres above sea level.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is elevated. No specific monitoring activities for pollutant concentration are currently active during the bathing season. No municipal sewage treatment plants with a capacity greater than 2000 population equivalents are located in the reference municipality.

Risks

Mollusc farming is present as a potential pollution source. Short-duration pollution events are still under study with regard to appropriate modelling approaches.
