Flooded gravel pit (štěrkoviště) with a surface area of 12 hectares at an elevation of 192 meters. The shoreline and bottom are grassy beaches.

Location

Otrokovice, Zlín Region, Czech Republic. The facility is operated by TEHOS, s.r.o., located at tř. T. Bati 1255, Otrokovice. The beach has a length of 300 meters.

Facilities

Refreshment stalls and bufets, hygiene facilities, children's paddling pool, minigolf. Annual visitor count is approximately 25,000.

Water Quality

Microbial contamination is excellent. Overall monitoring status is satisfactory. No short-term pollution was recorded. Phosphorus content lacks sufficient data for evaluation. Cyanobacteria presence is very weak, though elevated before 2009. Chlorophyll a levels are elevated and occasionally exceed limits.

Risks

Risk to swimmers has been absent for the past two years, though occasional water unsuitable for bathing occurred previously, and more frequent water unsuitable for sensitive persons. Diffuse pollution sources present medium risk, related to internal loading from recreational users and fish stocking.
