Water quality classification: excellent (elevato). Three urban wastewater treatment plants serving over 2000 population equivalents are active in the municipality. No specific monitoring for pollutant concentration and diffusion limitation is currently active during the bathing season. The hydrographic basin is Tevere-Incastro.

Risks

Shellfish farming is identified as an impact source on bathing water. The zone is not subject to blooms of macroalgae and/or potentially toxic microalgae. Short-duration pollution events are still under study for appropriate modeling approaches.
