Star Point Bay lies on the Holland-on-Sea frontage east of Clacton, formed where a concrete-protected former sewer outfall pipe crossed from cliff to sea. Erosion of the softer surrounding cliff has left the hardened apron of the old outfall structure exposed on the shoreline. The beach is reached from the coastal frontage near King's Cliff Bay, with sea access directly from the shore.
