Storkower See is a 5 km long lake located approximately 20 km southeast of Berlin in the Saarow Hills. The lake has a surface area of 370 hectares and was formed by glacial meltwater during the last ice age. It is divided into two basins by a narrow section, with a maximum depth of 12 metres. The lake receives inflow from the Scharmützelsee via the Storkower Canal and discharges toward the Wolziger See. Water temperature ranges from 10.3 to 24.8°C, with average transparency of 1.8 metres.
