Stoteler See is an inland lake created in 1971 during the construction of motorway BAB A 27. Formed from a former gravel pit, it has developed into a recreational attraction for visitors from the entire district. The lake is situated at the boundary between peatland and geest, measures one kilometre in length, covers 30 hectares, and reaches a maximum depth of 14.5 metres.
