Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017-2020). A submarine outfall pipe discharges treated urban wastewater from the Barletta treatment plant into the sea. No short-term pollution events have been recorded in the past four years.

Risks

No proliferation of toxic algae or cyanobacteria has been detected. No cases of macro-algae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation have been reported in the past four years.
