Location

Fasano, Brindisi Province, Puglia region. The bathing water is located at Torre Canne, between the northern limit and Torre Guaceto Marine Protected Area.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). The potential point source of pollution is the mouth of the Fiume Piccolo river. No direct discharges of wastewater to the sea are present. No short-term pollution events have been recorded in the past four years.

Risks

The mouth of the Fiume Piccolo river represents a potential point source of pollution affecting bathing water quality. No cyanobacterial blooms have been recorded. No cases of potentially toxic algal proliferation have been detected.
