Water

An artificial lake (gravel pit) that is part of the Vaires-Torcy leisure base. The water body receives water from groundwater, surface runoff from its watershed, and occasional exceptional overflow from the Marne river.

Location

Vaires-Torcy leisure base in Île-de-France region. The site is managed by UCPA under a public service delegation since 2007. Part of the island of Vaires and wooded spaces are managed by the Regional Green Spaces Agency of Île-de-France.
