Ladispoli, in Roma province, Lazio region, Italy. The bathing area extends from Rio Fiume to Pratica di Mare.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: elevated (95th and 90th percentile parameters). One urban treatment plant serving over 2000 population equivalents operates in the reference municipality. No specific monitoring of pollutant concentrations and diffusion is currently active during the bathing season.

Risks

Shellfish farming identified as a pollution source. The area is subject to potential blooms of macroalgae and microalgae, some potentially toxic. Short-duration pollution events are still undergoing appropriate modelling approach study.
