Traeth Mawr lies near Porthmadog in Gwynedd, on land reclaimed from the former tidal estuary of the Afon Glaslyn. A path leads past sand dunes along the estuary to reach the open sea, with a coastal footpath on the opposite side offering an alternative route to the shore. Parking is free and available near the site.
