Water Quality

Water quality classification: elevated (95th and 90th percentile classification). Two active urban wastewater treatment plants serving more than 2000 population equivalent exist in the reference municipality. No specific monitoring of pollutant concentrations is currently active during the bathing season.

Risks

Mollusk cultivation identified as a source of impact on bathing water. Short-duration pollution events are under study for appropriate modeling approach.
