The bathing water at Vallon de Mallet is located on the commune of Fridefont on Lake Garabit Grandval. The lake is fed by the Truyère and Bès rivers and has a retention volume of 270 million cubic meters. The bathing site is situated at the foot of Vallon de Mallet, a wild watershed. A surveillance and rescue post is present at the bathing site.
