Cariati, province of Cosenza, Calabria. The bathing area is located east of the town centre, facing agricultural territories.

Showers, toilets, and accessible pathways for disabled persons. Animals are permitted access to the area.

Water Quality

Excellent quality classification. Drainage from the Fosso Acqua di Granco watercourse identified as a pollution source. Runoff from agricultural areas represents a short-term pollution event cause. No specific active measures are currently in place for wastewater treatment.

Risks

Short-term pollution events from agricultural runoff via the Fosso Acqua di Granco watercourse. No anomalous situations or cyanobacteria proliferation events have been recorded in the past four years. No macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation has been recorded.
