Walchsee is one of the larger lakes in Tyrol with a surface area of 95.29 hectares and maximum depth of 21 metres. The lake has six main tributaries and one outflow. Limited water visibility is caused by organic particles such as decomposed plant material rather than algal blooms. The bathing area is located at the lakeshore promenade.
