Warfleet creek is a small inlet with landing stage on the Dart Estuary at Warfleet, Devon. It is a small section of river, approximately 60 metres wide, in front of the slipway and boathouse. It can be accessed from the slipway.

Risks

There are a number of permitted storm overflows that discharge into the River Dart and Estuary. In the 1km section upstream of the designated bathing water, there are a Combined Sewer Overflows (Cole’s Court CSO) and several Sewage Pumping Station, which have permitted storm & emergency overflows (Warfleet Creek PS, Warfleet No 2 PS, Priory Slip PS, Lower Ferry PS, South Town PS, Yarrow Bank PS ).

When these outfalls are operating, they discharge diluted effluent into the estuary which may result in reduced bathing water quality.
