The Seegarten bathing spot is located on the northern shore of Wittensee lake in the municipality of Groß Wittensee. It is easily accessible near the B 203 federal road. Dogs are not permitted at this bathing area.

Risks

Short-term pollution can occur from retention basins. Short-term pollution is defined as microbiological contamination with a clearly identifiable cause that is foreseeable and not normally expected to affect water quality for more than 72 hours. When short-term pollution occurs, the responsible authority implements measures on site and informs bathers. In the previous bathing season, bathing was prohibited on days when short-term pollution events occurred due to increased infection risk.
