Zalew Żyrardowski is a bathing area located on the Pisia Gągolina river in Żyrardów, Mazovian Voivodeship, Poland. The bathing zone is situated on the left bank of the reservoir with a shoreline of 90 metres. The water has been classified as good quality in 2025 and 2024. The facility operates daily from 10:00 to 20:00 during the swimming season.

Pisia Gągolina river. The bathing area has a shoreline length of 90 metres on the left bank of the Żyrardowski reservoir.

Location

Żyrardów, Ziołowa 11-19, Mazovian Voivodeship, Żyrardów County. The bathing area is organized by Aqua Żyrardów Sp. z o.o., located at ul. Rotmistrza Witolda Pileckiego 25/27, 96-300 Żyrardów.

Fenced area, designated swimming zone in water, beach recreation and sports zone, pier/dock, water mooring capability, designated grilling/campfire areas, water collection point, wheelchair accessible, waste bins, toilets, showers, changing rooms, WOPR flag mast, lifeguard on duty, children's swimming area, children's beach area, pet ban, bathing regulations on display, information board.

15 June 2025 to 31 August 2025. Opening hours: 10:00 to 20:00.

Water Quality

Water quality classification for 2025 is good. Maximum permitted concentrations are Escherichia coli 1000 CFU/100 ml and Enterococcus 400 CFU/100 ml. Most recent water test on 19/08/2025 showed water suitable for bathing with E. coli at 16 and Enterococcus at 1. Algal blooms were identified as a pollution source in 2022 and 2021. Enterococcus exceeded limits in July 2021.

Risks

Algal blooms occurred on 22/08/2022 and 13/07/2021. Elevated Enterococcus levels were recorded on 07/07/2021.
